Perpetual Profession - Sept 13 - 2025
On 13th September 2025, the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament rejoiced in the Perpetual Profession of Bros. Ajith Kerketta SSS and Merinas Joyson SSS at St. Francis Xavier’s Chapel, Colaba. The celebration carried the meaningful theme “Triumph with Hope”, reflecting the spirit of perseverance and trust in God that has guided the brothers through their years of formation. It was a day filled with joy, gratitude, and solemn commitment as they publicly declared their lifelong consecration to the Eucharistic Lord.
The Holy Eucharist was the heart of the occasion, during which Fr. Peter Jayakanthan SSS, Provincial Superior of Kristu Jyoti Province, received their vows on behalf of the Church and the Congregation. In his exhortation, he reminded the brothers of the grace and responsibility that comes with their total self-offering, urging them to live faithfully in the charism of St. Peter Julian Eymard. The rite of profession, marked by humility and devotion, highlighted the victory of God’s call in their lives a true triumph of hope.
The celebration was enriched by the presence of priests and brothers of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament, who surrounded their confreres with fraternity, encouragement, and prayer. Alongside them, the chapel community of Colaba actively participated, their presence adding warmth and vibrancy to the liturgy. Together, the religious and the faithful embodied the unity of the Church gathered around the Eucharist, bearing witness to this sacred moment.
As the day concluded with thanksgiving and fellowship, the theme “Triumph with Hope” echoed in every heart. For Bros. Ajith and Joyson, this milestone is not just the culmination of their formation but the beginning of a lifelong mission of love and service. Their perpetual profession stands as a powerful witness of faith, hope, and commitment, inspiring both the congregation and the wider community to live more deeply from the Eucharist.
