Celebrating Faith and Unity: Talk Show at St. Francis Xavier’s Chapel

On the evening of January 3rd, St. Francis Xavier’s Chapel, Colaba, hosted an inspiring talk show themed “In the Digital/AI Driven Society: Eucharist is the Vital Force of Empowering Union of Families and Communities.” This profound and timely event, animated by Fr. Michael SVD and his team, was a highlight of the Diamond Jubilee concluding ceremony, drawing a diverse and enthusiastic audience.

A Distinguished Gathering

The talk show saw the gracious presence of Fr. Benzy sss the Superior General, along with Fr. Jose Antonio sss, the General Consultor, Fr. Philip Watkins sss, the Provincial of Australia, and Fr. Justin Chawkhan sss, the Provincial from Sri Lanka, Fr. Peter Jayakanthan sss, the Provincial of India. Joining them were numerous Indian SSS priests, neighbouring religious communities, and local parishioners, reflecting a spirit of unity and shared mission.

Thought-Provoking Theme

The theme of the talk show addressed a critical intersection of faith and modernity: the role of the Eucharist as a vital force in an AI-driven society. Fr. Michael and his team presented compelling insights into how the Eucharist fosters deeper connections within families and communities, even amidst the rapid technological and digital transformations of our time.

The program commenced at 4:30 PM, following a warm tea fellowship. The chapel, filled with an attentive audience, became a space for reflection and dialogue. Fr. It was felt that without youth participating in the discussion we cant complete it.
